Glad you are here

Giessen School of Theology (Freie Theologische Hochschule) is a state-accredited evangelical seminary that offers a three-year B.A., a two-year M.A. in theology and a PhD in cooperation with the ETF Leuven and the TU Kampen.

Facts & Information

Giessen School of Theology (FTH) is one of the largest theological seminaries in Germany. Currently, about 200 male and female students are taught by sixteen full-time faculty members and various excellent guest teachers. More than 1000 alumni are serving as pastors, teachers, or missionaries around the world, in over 45 countries. Giessen School of Theology is an exciting place for people who love the Lord and his word. We prepare young people for nothing less than God’s ministry – in church and far beyond.

Our academic program is thoroughly Bible-centered. Exegetical studies are based on the Hebrew and Greek texts. This commitment to the Holy Scriptures informs all other disciplines, whether Practical Theology, which offers a variety of courses in expository preaching, biblical counseling, and Christian education, or systematic theology, Ethics, Church history, evangelism and missions.

Tuition fees at the seminary are currently only € 250 per month.

Please note, however, that the language of instruction at the FTH is German.

If you are interested in any of our programs, please write us in English or German.
We would be glad to hear from you!
